Take a Devon Holiday with your Family

Travelling around with your family can be difficult, and taking a family holiday that doesn’t end up with the kids screaming at each other, the parents screaming at the kids and anybody else who happens to be coming along aghast at how everybody else is behaving requires a lot of planning and forethought. It’s even more difficult if there are teenagers coming along too, as they’ll have definite ideas of what they want to do, and it probably doesn’t involve spending a lot of time with the rest of their family, which they’ll view as a ball and chain. That is, of course, if they wanted to come at all, and teenagers can be very reluctant to go anywhere with their family.

It’s areas like Devon which are the answer for this, as Devon holidays provide you with access to a county that is brimming with things to see and do. There are activities for people of all ages, so kids, teenagers, parents and grandparents will all be able to find something they enjoy.

Beaches are enjoyable for everybody, even the moodiest of teenagers, as even they can’t help but be calmed by the sun, sea and sand. Younger kids will love splashing about in the water or building sandcastles, and the warm sun and fresh sea air will do wonders to help adults relax and unwind.

The numerous activities available for holiday makers will also mean you can fill your days with visiting fun and exciting places, and everybody should find something enjoyable there. If it’s possible, you might even want to consider splitting up into two groups and spending your time in different places so that everybody gets to do what they want. Some people could even stay at base if they wanted to, and just enjoy Devon’s sunshine, or any facilities that the place you’re staying provides.

Of course, Devon also has a few big cities, so if anybody in your family wants to take a shopping trip whilst on holiday they’re well placed to do it. Exeter especially is a great city to wander around for a day, and even if you’re not interested in shopping, there’s enough to see and do to occupy you for the whole day, and plenty of great places to eat too. The cathedral draws hundreds of thousands of sight seers every year, and if you make the trip to Exeter to see it you’ll understand.
